Delivery costs are calculated automatically at the checkout according to the weight of your parcel - it's a new system so if you have any questions or think your delivery cost looks odd, please give us a shout via the contacts page and we'll be happy to check it for you.
Your parcel will usually be dispatched in 2-3 business days (weekdays, other than holiday and Bank Holiday times) and we'll send a dispatch notification when it's on its way. The time taken for the post or courier service to deliver after dispatch varies. Please get in touch if you are in a big hurry - we'll always do our best to help and may be able to offer an upgrade to Special Delivery. If the stock of a particular item has run out your order might be delayed while we make some more items or new stock arrives. We will try to let you know if this happens.
UK deliveries - currently we offer a choice of First or Second class post for parcels under 1kg. We use Royal Mail Large Letter for very slender or lightweight shapes and Small Parcel post for the others - wood shapes are chunky and most go as small parcels. Small boxes are sent via MyHermes (some things under 1kg, up to 2kg). Heavier parcels weighing over 2kg are sent by DHL. Delivery time varies once parcels are dispatched.
Overseas deliveries to Europe and Scandinavia - We use Royal Mail International Standard post for overseas parcels under 2kg. Parcels over 2kg in weight are sent via DHL Economy or by a Royal Mail service if more cost effective, e.g. Parcelforce Worldwide Ireland Express. DHL Economy is a road network service taking a few days and it is much cheaper than DHL 'Time Definite' services, especially for heavy parcels (5kg and over). We are happy to give you a quote for the faster DHL Time Definite service if you prefer. DHL parcels must be signed for.
Overseas deliveries to other countries We use Royal Mail International Standard post for overseas parcels under 2kg. Parcels over 2kg in weight are sent via DHL Time Defnite service (the DHL Economy service is only available in Europe and Scandinavia). DHL parcels must be signed for.
Overseas parcels may be subject to import tax and duty or state taxes. These are beyond our control and paying them is the responsibility of the customer. Our shipping is charged by weight and closely matches the real cost of posting via Royal Mail or courier shipping for the weight of your parcel.
We may need to charge a remote location surcharge if DHL add this cost. If you order directly through the website, a remote area surcharges may be advised separately after you order, as these are calculated by the courier system when DHL services are booked. We are always happy to give you a shipping quote in advance if you think your location may qualify as remote. It rarely happens but tends to apply to islands and mountainous rural areas.
